LALB initiates a hard line
regarding the application of RealEstateAuctions.com,
Louisiana, LLC.
Board Member James Sims and
Darlene Jacobs-Levy complain about out-of-state ownership,
with Ms.
Jacobs-Levy saying, "I will personally contact
Legislators next session to deal with this type situation."
She also
predicts "many problems" from issuing licenses such as the one under
consideration.
Despite the fact that the President of the company is
revealed, Brian Kuzdas, apparently
nobody even researched before the meeting
to even know that he's
an NAA Member.
Ms. Jacobs-Levy even goes so far
as to vote AGAINST the application even
though no valid reason for doing so is ever even mentioned.
Continued discussion of real estate auctions and licensing thereof and dialogue with the

Auctioneer Barbara
Bonnette discusses her desire for the LALB to clamp down on Louisiana
real estate agents and brokers conducting online real
estate auctions with no auction license. The LALB seems quite
receptive to her requests and assures her they'll pursue having such folk
brought under the purview of the LALB
by attempting to require auction licenses for such
online auctions (including sealed bids).
