LA House Commerce Committee:  04/28/09  
Rep. John E. "Johnny" Guinn introduced HB 66 in the 2009 Legislative Session
to abolish continuing education (CE) for
auctioneers.  His bill  became law as Act 411 of the 2010 Louisiana Legislature
and CE for auctioneers was abolished effective 8/15/09.

June 17, 2009:

 LA Senate Commerce Committee:  06/17/09  
Testimony by Rep. John E. "Johnny" Guinn & Marvin Henderson
(video monitor had technical difficulties).

May 18, 2010:  Sarah Olcott-Allen sends
 LAPA Vice President Robert Burns Email
apologizing for profanity-laced tirade of Rep. Guinn moments after
Burns testified in favor of HB 1439, a bill to strengthen
Shill Bidding laws in Louisiana.

May 24, 2010:  Burns files police report against Rep. Guinn
pertaining to the May 18, 2010 profanity-laced tirade of Rep. Guinn
(Burns filed on the advice of his personal attorney).
The report was delivered by Capitol police to then-House Speaker Jim Tucker, who
subsequently delivered it to Gov. Jindal's office, and nothing further was reported to Burns.

August 2, 2010:

Guinn:  "Embarrassed" at Burns' 5/18/10 House Criminal Justice Committee testimony

August 30, 2010:  Rep. Guinn sends letter to Gov. Jindal
seeking LAPA Vice President Burns' LALB removal.  Jindal obliged and terminated Burns'
LALB services on September 10, 2010 (Burns' 47th birthday!).
